--- Personal Quotes ---

"You know, being honest about what you love pays off. I don’t look at clothes as just clothes;
I consider them as art, as well. And because I have such respect for fashion, I keep it real.
I don’t think I’m bigger than fashion; I think fashion is bigger than me."

"I don’t know how influential I am. But I think people can see that I don’t walk the beaten path.
I am not that girl who thrives in those short, tight, bandage dresses. I would feel terribly
uncomfortable in them. I have a real girl’s body and I certainly don’t look like a Barbie doll.
Most of all, I don’t want to be a clone. I love being myself. I think my fans like that."

"I think the magic lies in the script. If the movie is good, it will become a hit. I don’t consider
myself lucky for anyone.

"Any film I sign, people think that I am going mad. But my choices have helped me do good work.
I don’t get typecast. I am working with the best directors."

"I think every girl can be glamorous in her own space."

"I say what I feel like saying. I say it on a social platform. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with
it. It encourages young girls to come forward and share their views. If somebody is telling me you
cannot wear a short skirt because boys are going to be rattled by it, obviously I am going to raise
my voice against it."

"If I, as a public figure, cannot voice my opinion, then other girls won’t come forward to say what
they want to say. I may not be a huge star or a very popular figure. But whatever fame I have
gained, I want to make use of that to better the way women are projected."

"You should stand for what you feel is right. I am doing that in my small capacity."

"I have a multiple personality disorder, so I try to play different people. I experiment a lot and
most importantly, I manage to be myself even then!"

"Very thoughtfully I tried not to do much with my father. It’s a very selfish decision, as I just wanted
my own identity. So even when Aisha was produced, my sister (Rhea Kapoor) produced it. It was
her first film. I never asked my father to do this for me. I think I have a man’s ego in a lot of ways."

"I love girls, I surround myself with only women. I think men bring negativity into your life
sometimes. Only women work with me."

"I need to have a life too. I can't be working all the time and not have a personal life. I like the way
things are. This way I get to travel, enjoy my life beyond films and my profession. And I am happy
doing this. I don't bother too much with what's written about me. As long as I am happy doing what
I like, it's all good."

"I have no baggage with my relationships and everything I have done is with all heart. Even if
something doesn't work out, I am friends with all of them. There is nothing dirty about the break-up.
Also, if it doesn't end on a negative it's easy to be friends with your exes. It's not tough but the
closure is important."

"Hotness is how people perceive you and not how you see yourself. Style, on the other hand, reflects
your personality and is inherent."

"I eat right, I have a nutritionist who takes care of me. I have people who are constantly firing me to
drink enough water. It’s about eating right, drinking enough water and being happy in general…
surrounding yourself with positive, happy people."

"I do want to direct in the next eight to 10 years. I’m keen to explore another creative side to my
work and it is something I would enjoy immensely."

"For me it's always doing a role and working with a director as opposed to working with the actor."

"I won't date anyone from the industry, honestly. Industry guys are amazing, but the good ones
are taken."

"I like to save people, to take care of them…so, the pattern is that I date guys before they become
successful and -whoops – there goes my project! But my dad says I get strays home. I wanna
date a lot of people. Actually, I wanna go on a lot of dates."

"Unconditional love and support from my family, friends and fans, makes me feel beautiful."

"I know how to keep my distance from my co-stars. I maintain platonic relationship and try not to
cross the line. I have never used my personal life for publicity. I don't go out of my way to keep
myself in the papers. I like to keep my life very clean."

"I love history, museums, old things...I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. But I love vintage
clothes, old architecture, paintings, art. The first thing that I bought with my first-earned money
was a piece of art."

"Eat healthy, work out hard and it's all right if you skip your gym once or twice a week."

"I want Leonardo DiCaprio to happen to me (laughs aloud). Are you listening Leo...I love you."

"I love dressing up in something that's girly, sophisticated and fun at the same time. I believe in
maintaining individualism. Dress up for the heck of it...just have fun."

"I think you should live each day as it comes. Just smell the flowers."
