Kondhal Vannanai Kovalanaai
Like Lord Krishna, the one with dark cloud like complexion
Vennai Unda Va Yennin Ullam Kavarthanae
With a butter eaten mouth, You stole my heart
Kondhal Vannanai Kovalanaai
Like Lord Krishna, the one with dark cloud like complexion
Vennai Unda Va Yennin Ullam Kavarthanae
With a butter eaten mouth, You stole my heart
Anda Kula Ne Arandha Nin Amudinai (x2)
With nectar like sweetness You ruled over all Gods
Kanda Kangal Mai Thonrinai Kaanathey
On seeing this sweetness, my eyes won’t look at anything else
Ban Ke Titli Dil Uda Uda Uda Hai Kahin Door... (x2)
Becoming a butterfly this heart is flying far away
Chal Ke Khushboo Se Juda Juda Juda Hai Kahin Door...
It (heart) has attached itself to a fragrance, some place far away
Haadse Yeh Kaise, Ansune Se Jaise
What are these events that seem to be so unheard of
Choome Andheron Ko, Koi Noor...
It’s as if darkness is being kissed by some glow (brightness)
Ban Ke Titli Dil Uda Uda Uda Hai Kahin Door...
Becoming a butterfly this heart is flying far away
Sirf Keh Jaoon Ya, Aasmaan Pe Likh Doon
Should I just say it or should I write it on the skies
Teri Taareefon Mein, Chashme Baddoor...
That I’m totally mesmerized by Your beauty
Ban Ke Titli Dil Uda Uda Uda Hai Kahin Door...
Becoming a butterfly this heart is flying far away
Chal Ke Khushboo Se Juda Juda Juda Hai Kahin Door...
It has attached itself to a fragrance, some place far away
Kondhal Vannanai Kovalanaai
Like Lord Krishna, the one with dark cloud like complexion
Vennai Unda Va Yennin Ullam Kavarthanae
With a butter eaten mouth, You stole my heart
Anda Kula Ne Arandha Nin Amudinai
With nectar like sweetness You ruled over all Gods
Kanda Kangal Mai Thonrinai Kaanathey
On seeing this sweetness, my eyes won’t look at anything else
Bhoori Bhoori, Aankhein Teri, Kanakhiyon Se Tez Teer Kitne Chhode
Your brown eyes are shooting many arrows from the corners/edges
(with a sideways glance)
Dhaani Dhaani, Baatein Teri, Udte Phirte Panchhiyon Ke Rukh Bhi Mode
Your soft talks are making even the birds change the direction of their flight
Adhoori Thi Zara Si, Main Poori Ho Rahi Hoon, Teri Saadgi Mein Hoke Choor...
I was a little incomplete, but now I’m getting completed by breaking down
(dissolving in You) due to the beauty of Your simplicity
Ban Ke Titli Dil Uda Uda Uda Hai Kahin Door...
Becoming a butterfly this heart is flying far away
Chal Ke Khushboo Se Juda Juda Juda Hai Kahin Door...
It has attached itself to a fragrance, some place far away
Wo… Yei.. Yei.. Yei.. Yeah.. O...
Raatein Gin Ke, Neendein Bun Ke, Cheez Kya Hai, Khwaabdaari Humne Jaani
After counting the nights and weaving my sleep
I understand now what the significance of a dream is
Tere Sur Ka, Saaz Banke, Hote Kya Hain Raagdaari Humne Jaani
After becoming the tune of Your organ (instrument)
I understand now what music (a melody) really is
Jo Dil Ko Bha Rahi Hai Woh Teri Shayari Hai, Ya Koi Shayarana Hai Fitoor...
My heart is loving Your poetry, is it the case that the poet has reached madness
Ban Ke Titli Dil Uda Uda Uda Hai Kahin Door...
Becoming a butterfly this heart is flying far away
Chal Ke Khushboo Se Juda Juda Juda Hai Kahin Door...
It has attached itself to a fragrance, some place far away
Haadse Yeh Kaise, Ansune Se Jaise
What are these events that seem to be so unheard of
Choome Andheron Ko, Koi Noor...
It’s as if darkness is being kissed by some glow
Ban Ke Titli Dil Uda Uda Uda Hai Kahin Door...
Becoming a butterfly this heart is flying far away
Sirf Keh Jaoon Ya, Aasmaan Pe Likh Doon
Should I just say it or should I write it on the skies
Teri Taareefon Mein, Chashme Baddoor...
That I’m totally mesmerized by Your beauty

I am not only grateful but also thankful for this website not only can I understand but I also know truthful meanings in the words used wich I admire the most. I am from South Africa and stay in a small town called upington. I am probably the only one there in my town obsessivly mad about bolywood movies and songs....but hey I LOVE IT!!!!

Thank you so much for your translations.. I don't speak any Hindu or Tamil.. I love this song!! Yep, I am a Bollywood junkie..American movies are so droll.. This song is so not typical of Bollywood nor is the Mardaani Anthem..which sounded powerful but after reading the translation it is even more powerful than I imagined...
